About the Show

After suffering from the decades of civil war and experiencing slight peace in Afghanistan, the first step to be taken was the establishment of radio and television stations and Tolo Television was among those emerging medium. After a short time Tolo Television introduced its most popular show (Afghan Star) to its audience. This program immediately became a must-watch show among the youth and other people who at the weekends would eagerly wait for this amazing show; so it could fill their houses with excitement, joy and voice of the new stars.

The show has since achieved an important feat which is the growth and development of music in the country and it had a huge effect in the music field which we can’t overlook. From the start till now this show has been held annually; six seasons have passed and now it is time for the seventh season. Again, this year the caravan of the judges and stars will travel towards the key provinces and will choose their stars from the contestants who have already registered their names.

Avesta Scripture also known as ZEND-AVESTA, sacred book of Zoroastrianism containing its cosmogony, law, and liturgy, the teachings of the prophet Zoroaster (Zarathushtra)or Zardusht as Afghans call him. The extant Avesta is all that remains of a much larger body of scripture, apparently Zoroaster's transformation of a very ancient tradition. The voluminous manuscripts of the original are said to have been destroyed when Alexander the Great conquered Persia. The present Avesta was assembled from remnants and standardized under the Sasanian kings (3rd-7th century AD).
